📋 Description

• Lead and conduct management system audits for corporate certification, surveillance, recertification, transfer, and special audit activities • Plan complex audits, develop strategic audit agendas, and coordinate timelines with clients and multidisciplinary audit team members • Evaluate quality management systems for conformity, operational effectiveness, and implementation of applicable international standards • Assess executive leadership, risk management, organizational safety culture, supplier controls, high-consequence procurement, design control, and corrective action programs • Gather and evaluate objective technical evidence through personnel interviews, document reviews, and direct observation of site activities • Prepare technical audit reports and document detailed audit findings according to accreditation requirements • Present audit conclusions, risks, and findings to client executive management during formal opening and closing meetings • Review, challenge, and verify corrective actions and make official certification recommendations • Maintain industry auditor qualifications and technical competency through training, witness audits, and professional development

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma required • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline (Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Quality Management) highly preferred • Completion of a rigorous military technical program (e.g., US Naval Nuclear Power School) highly preferred • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Design, Plant Operations, Site Construction, Advanced Manufacturing, Fabrication, NDE, Inspection, or Quality Assurance • Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience within high-consequence, safety-critical industries • Direct experience with Quality Management and auditing Quality Management Systems (QMS) • Working knowledge of international ISO quality standards • Excellent technical writing abilities • Demonstrated autonomy to prioritize and schedule tasks with minimal supervision • Dual experience or certifications in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 preferred • Specific experience auditing high-pressure equipment, specialized materials, testing, or advanced engineering services preferred • Prior exposure to sales, account management, or business development environments preferred
