📋 Description

• Provide full-spectrum emergency medicine in austere and limited-resource environments • Examine, diagnose, treat, and prescribe treatment for routine and emergency conditions • Provide consultation and advice as the emergency medicine subject-matter expert • Work as part of a small team • Assist a general surgeon and anesthesia provider with perioperative care • Conduct and supervise direct patient care, including damage-control resuscitation • Plan and conduct Critical Care Air Transport missions for ICU-level patients • Potentially function in a leadership position based on qualifications and experience • Supervise attached medical personnel, including Physician Assistants, nurses, and medics • Document care and complete medical records according to VIGILINT policy • Perform special staff functions as required • Support Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team activities • Participate in at least one approximately 60-day OCONUS rotation annually, plus additional training and screening events

🎯 Requirements

• Active SECRET or higher security clearance • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico • Current Board Certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine • Current active civilian practice to maintain clinical currency during non-deployed periods • Minimum 8 years’ experience as an Emergency Physician • Minimum 5 years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience • U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last 3 years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy • Experience as staff or attending physician in a high-volume/high-acuity or critical-access environment • Deployment experience in austere and combat-like conditions in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities • United States citizenship • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross • Current and unrestricted DEA license • Current United States Passport that will not expire within 1 year of employment • Must be a legal resident of one of the 50 U.S. states • Ability to lift 150 pounds with assistance, carry 80 pounds 30 feet, and push/pull over 200 pounds; must meet assigned-platform anthropometric standards • Strongly desired: experience working in the Military Special Operations Community • Strongly desired: previous FRST/FST or equivalent deployment experience • Strongly desired: TS/SCI security clearance
