📋 Description

• Investigate all losses assigned for Virginia Farm Bureau members • Handle property damage and liability claims • Provide efficient settlements in accordance with company procedures and standards • Prepare estimates and evaluate damages using photos, measurements, estimating platforms, and other resources • Communicate with insureds and contractors • Report all activity on claim files promptly • Comply with company policies and procedures • Promptly reply to complaints as requested • Advise the Underwriting Department on poor risks • Assist and guide other claim personnel as requested • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• College degree or equivalent work experience • Relevant experience in property claims, insurance, construction, restoration, estimating, or a related field • Level placement based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, and demonstrated capabilities • Typical experience ranges: PCR (0-2 years), PCS (2+ years), SPCR (5+ years) • Proficiency with Xactimate • Understanding of building construction appropriate to job level • Excellent communication, customer service, investigation, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of insurance contracts issued by the company (preferred) • Experience with casualty insurance claims (preferred) • Must reside in the state of Virginia • Ability to travel within the assigned Central Virginia territory • Valid work authorization is not explicitly stated
