Virtualitics is an AI-native software company that provides readiness and decision-support solutions purpose-built for defense organizations. Their flagship product, Virtualitics Iris, combines generative AI and specialized readiness AI agents to analyze fragmented readiness data and accelerate decisions across maintenance, materiel, personnel, supply chain, and mission modernization domains. Deployed across U. S. military services and grounded in research origins tied to Caltech and NASA JPL, Virtualitics emphasizes operational, mission-aware AI delivered as a platform to reduce analysis time, predict failures, and produce actionable courses of action for defense customers.

📋 Description

• Product Manager • Virtualitics Iris and Forward Deployed Applications • Remote (DC area preferred)  |  Active Security Clearance or Security Clearance Eligibility |  HQ: Pasadena, CA • Virtualitics builds AI-native readiness intelligence for the US and allied nations’ defense sector. Our IRO application layer and Virtualitics AI Platform (VAIP) transform how defense organizations act on maintenance, logistics, and global force management data. Our team is actively refining agentic workflows, composable AI agents, and generative interfaces to replace static dashboards with dynamic, conversational intelligence. • The Role • You will work closely with cross-functional peers to own a specific product area, leading discovery and defining success metrics while ensuring day-to-day operational efficiency from the product development team. You will work with the engineering and AI teams to understand architectural tradeoffs, scope upcoming efforts, and pressure-test trade-offs in real time. The product serves two audiences: DoD operators and delivery teams (data scientists, engineers, partner integrators) who configure and maintain deployments of Virtualitics’ product offering. • Responsibilities • Own a specific product area: requirements, backlog management, prioritization, scope decisions, releases, and outcomes. • Partner on technical decisions with engineering: architecture, feasibility, trade-offs. Challenge estimates that don't add up. • Bridge users and engineers: translate operational readiness problems into product requirements through direct user research. You’ll be hands on with real users. • Contribute to platform evolution: R&D work across data ontology management, agent orchestration (MCP/A2A), generative interfaces. • Support delivery operations: ensure the product reduces manual effort across contract types and deployment models. • Communicate clearly: demos, PRDs, cross-functional alignment. You are the connective tissue. • Qualifications • Eligibility to acquire and maintain a US Security Clearance (requires US Citizenship) • CS degree (or equivalent technical degree) • 2+ years of product management or software engineering experience shipping software in agile environments • Comfortable reading code, reviewing architecture, and holding your own in technical discussions • Excellent written and verbal communication. • Preferred: • Experience with AI/ML products, defense/government tech, or classified environments (SIPR/NIPR) • Startup experience, especially navigating the scalability and automation phase • Platform product experience: technical interfaces (APIs, SDKs) alongside standard web apps • 1-2 years of software engineering experience • Compensation • Competitive salary, equity, and performance bonus • Medical, dental, vision. Unlimited PTO. • Growth path to Senior then Staff or Group Product Manager
