• Provide clinical oversight, protocol delegation, and consultative support for Vynca's Advanced Practice Providers delivering home-based palliative and serious illness care across Georgia • Serve as delegating or supervising physician for up to eight nurse practitioners and physician assistants combined • Establish, review, and maintain written nurse protocol agreements and ensure required filings with the Georgia Composite Medical Board • Be immediately available for consultation during care delivery or designate a qualified backup physician • Review and sign 100% of records involving controlled substance prescriptions and personally evaluate or examine those members at least quarterly • Review and sign 100% of patient records involving adverse outcomes within 30 days of discovery • Review and sign at least 10% of all other patient records at least annually • Conduct quarterly medical record reviews and meetings with APRNs to monitor quality of care • Virtually observe each nurse practitioner's practice at least annually • Support symptom management, advance care planning, and goals of care • Delegate authority to pronounce death and sign death certificates where clinically appropriate and permitted • Provide guidance on controlled substance management, including risk assessment, patient counseling, PDMP review, and naloxone co-prescribing standards • Maintain a principal place of practice in Georgia or within 50 miles of locations where protocol agreements are used • Notify the Board of agreement termination within 10 business days and support continuity during physician transitions • Participate in clinical governance, case review, and quality improvement activities as directed by the Chief Medical Officer
• Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license (MD or DO) in good standing • Principal medical practice physical location within the State of Georgia • Board certification in a specialty comparable to the delegated scope • Active DEA registration • Demonstrated experience in supervision or collaboration with advanced practice providers, ideally in home-based or serious illness care • Familiarity with value-based care and Georgia nurse protocol and physician assistant supervision requirements • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Must complete identity and work eligibility verification using E-Verify upon hire • Influenza vaccination required for patient-, client-, or customer-facing roles, subject to possible religious or medical accommodations
