• Oversee, train, coach, and mentor Market Medical Directors across the designated geographic pod • Hold supervisory responsibility and ultimate accountability for pod clinical and financial performance • Meet regularly with Market Medical Directors to troubleshoot practice challenges and provide strategic guidance • Advise on CMS regulatory and compliance issues and ACO contractual obligations • Review key performance indicators and clinical utilization metrics • Ensure productivity targets for practice meetings, pod meetings, and internal assignments • Identify opportunities to improve practice workflows, healthcare utilization, and clinical documentation accuracy • Analyze data trends and implement regional performance-improvement interventions • Ensure ACO practice compliance with Vytal Signs gates, EMR access and integration, Vytalize VBC tools, and clinical programs • Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents, Practice Transformation Managers, Risk & Quality Teams, and Product & Tech Teams • Assess opportunities within ACO practices and optimize healthcare delivery • Support value-based clinical strategy and organization-wide initiative prioritization • Provide clinical oversight for ongoing initiatives and shape strategies aligned with healthcare models and provider needs • Spread best practices across pods through provider collaboration and knowledge-sharing sessions • Develop and propagate initiatives so Market Medical Directors can focus on direct physician engagement • Present clinically to practices virtually or in person to reinforce value-based care principles and PCP engagement • Collaborate with Central and Market Medical Directors to share achievements and refine strategies • Participate in ACO leadership meetings and Vytalize Physician Advisory Council meetings
• MD or DO medical degree • Active medical license and board certification • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience • At least 2 years in a leadership role within an ACO or similar healthcare organization • Board certification in a primary care specialty preferred, including primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, geriatric medicine, internal medicine/pediatrics, or pediatrics • Strong analytical skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting • In-depth understanding of value-based care • Knowledge of healthcare cost management and utilization review processes • Ability to be based in the West Coast region, within the Pacific or Mountain time zone • Must be authorized to work in the United States or indicate whether sponsorship will be required
