📋 Description

• Identify product requirements and drive technology development projects supporting growth of polypropylene compounds • Manage development activities for polyolefin compounded materials • Identify strategic markets and customers • Determine material requirements and specifications for targeted applications • Collaborate with product development engineers to develop material solutions • Interpret sample results and provide data sheets and material physical property information to customers • Coordinate and attend customer molding trials and provide feedback for future work • Present formalized data packages for customer approvals • Interface with customers and OEMs to achieve and document product approvals • Promote company products and organizational capabilities • Submit call reports and monthly activity summaries • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints • Perform duties safely and in compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, science, or equivalent, and/or 5-7 years of experience with custom plastic materials • Demonstrated ability to leverage technical strength to develop new business • Ability to build and maintain strong, long term customer relationships • Excellent communication skills, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, and well organized • Skilled in the use of basic computer software, including word-processing and spreadsheets • Self-sufficient in terms of time management and support • Strong plastics technology skills • Frequent travel, generally over 50%, including possible international travel
