📋 Description

• Ensure Waymo technology programs satisfy the business needs of internal and external users • Develop simulator multi-platform strategy with engineering and product leads, including OKRs, KPIs, roadmap, and success criteria • Execute the foundational world model roadmap for reliable, realistic, and representative synthetic test suites • Create ML model development plans to improve simulator realism across 3D graphics, physics-based animation, sensor simulation, intelligent agent behavior, reactivity, and data augmentation • Integrate core simulator and intelligent simulation realism feature releases with the onboard software release cadence • Develop scalable methodologies, processes, and tools for simulator realism evaluation, including AI-assisted agentic workflows • Lead simulator architecture transformation into a scalable product and improve self-serve tools, documentation, onboarding, and scenario creation throughput • Build an adaptable program planning framework for feature intake, bug reporting, prioritization, execution tracking, and retrospectives • Align stakeholders across system engineering, simulation, evaluation, and onboard software teams • Represent team scope and dependencies in cross-functional programs and align simulator milestones with company-wide goals • Establish program communication connecting sprint-level work with executive reviews, including execution status, risks, and priorities

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field • Two years of experience in the job offered or a Technical Program Management related occupation • Two years of experience with large scale project management involving multiple projects, stakeholders, large teams, and complex team setups • Experience with Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, Lean, and DAD project management methodologies • Experience with machine learning • Experience with software simulation tools • Experience with end-to-end autonomous driving algorithm development • Experience with system engineering and test methodologies technical management for autonomous driving applications • Experience with sensor system development technical management for autonomous driving applications • Experience with vehicle control system development technical management for autonomous driving applications
