📋 Description

• Develop and execute WeaveGrid’s policy and regulatory strategy for assigned U.S. region(s) • Build external alliances and identify opportunities to develop key stakeholder relationships • Write and submit comments for utility regulatory proceedings • Attend conferences, workshops, and other convenings as a WeaveGrid representative • Research regulatory developments to inform 2–3 year business strategy and identify ways to influence policy, rulemaking, and ratemaking • Research regulatory filings, state-level policies, and competitive landscapes to support market and business development • Collaborate with business units on benefit-cost analysis and program evaluation materials • Collaborate with business development to support beneficial outcomes and secure regulatory approval • Help create presentation materials on policy outcomes for utility-client meetings • Identify and pursue formal and informal influence opportunities in the industry and regulatory space • Report to the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Market Development • Work closely with business development and utility solutions teams supporting assigned regions

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS, or equivalent experience, in law, social sciences, or engineering • MPA/Masters, JD, or equivalent experience, with focus on energy policy regulations preferred • 5+ years of full-time experience in directly relevant policy and regulatory affairs for electric utilities and/or grid operations • Significant domain expertise in transportation electrification, managed charging, DER flexibility, power systems, RTOs/ISOs, grid modernization, distribution planning, or public utility regulation • Proven skill set in in-depth analysis of energy policy, regulatory writing, and/or state legislative lobbying • Existing network among stakeholders in electric transportation, demand-side management, and/or grid modernization preferred • Demonstrated track record of empathetic leadership, individual initiative, inquiry, and solutions-orientation • Aptitude to think, communicate, and execute strategically and tactically • High attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent work ethic • Ability to function effectively under time pressure • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to translate technical information into persuasive narratives • Experience prioritizing competing initiatives and evaluating the strategic value of regulatory or stakeholder engagement opportunities • Ability to work with diverse internal and external teams and translate between areas of expertise • Propensity towards remote work with ability to travel as needed
