📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to incarcerated patients • Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow-up care using independent medical judgment • Monitor psychotropic medications for effectiveness and side effects, adjusting treatment as clinically indicated • Support mental health and healthcare staff through clinical consultation • Collaborate with facility leadership, interdisciplinary leadership, and care teams • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation • Participate in required meetings, consultations, and on-call services • Support referrals, transfers, crisis intervention, and clinical collaboration with mental health and medical staff • Support continuity of care through treatment planning, follow-up, and coordination with mental health services

🎯 Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university • Specialty training in psychiatry • Experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population • Experience providing psychiatric services to an adolescent population preferred for youth facility clinical assignments • Corrections experience preferred • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of practice • Board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry • Current DEA registration unless determined optional by CPO • Current BLS certification • Must reside in the United States
