📋 Description

• Manage incoming calls and complete outbound call requests for appointment scheduling • Schedule patient appointments accurately and completely • Find suitable appointment times based on provider availability and patient preferences • Adapt to special projects and changing scripts • Work with healthcare providers and clinical staff to optimize daily schedules • Align provider schedules with patient demand to maximize efficiency and minimize wait times • Coordinate urgent or high-priority appointments with providers • Communicate appointment details, instructions, and preparation information to patients • Collaborate with front-office staff and clinical teams on scheduling issues and patient care coordination • Follow provided scripting and Quality Assurance requirements to maintain an 85% satisfaction rating • Enter and update patient information in the scheduling system • Maintain accurate, up-to-date provider schedules and real-time availability • Provide exceptional customer service during scheduling interactions • Address patient inquiries, concerns, and requests professionally and empathetically

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Additional education in healthcare administration is a big plus • Experience in value based care is a big plus • 2+ years of experience as a medical scheduler or in a similar role within a healthcare setting preferred • Experience with telephonic patient outreach and clinical assessments • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Critical thinking in complex and rapidly changing environments • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare setting • Experience in a remote environment • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare workflows • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficient in using scheduling software and electronic health record (EMR) systems • Ability to handle high call volumes and manage time effectively • Customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare
