📋 Description

• Mentor, role model, and facilitate guidance and academic support for nursing students • Teach assigned courses using varied methodologies and facilitate achievement of prescribed learning outcomes • Participate in course, curriculum, and program assessment activities through continuous improvement plans • Improve class materials and syllabi within the university’s shared governance culture • Maintain scholarly activities • Participate in professional growth and university service • Support student success as healthcare professionals • Use innovative technologies and resources, including Simulation and Innovation Labs • For clinical instruction, assume responsibility for students in clinical facilities • Clarify clinical expectations with students and clinical facility staff • Direct students to resources for clinical preparation • Assess student knowledge and skills to ensure patient safety and optimal care • Conduct pre- and post-conferences connecting theory content with clinical objectives and experiences • Provide immediate and periodic feedback on clinical performance

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care • Minimum of three years of experience in the field in which they teach • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Experience working with online learning management systems • Compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations, including state Board of Nursing requirements • Education and experience must align with state regulations and state authorization agency requirements • MSN required • DNP or PhD required • Professional nurse licensure required
