📋 Description

• Advise actively attending students on financial aid throughout each academic year • Build rapport and provide clear, accurate information and effective solutions • Package and repackage students for financial aid eligibility across undergraduate and graduate programs • Calculate and initiate financial aid offers and payment plans • Update student packaging throughout their programs • Ensure required documents and financial aid processing are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulations • Educate students on borrower rights and responsibilities, FAFSA completion, loan decisions, scholarships, and alternative funding • Manage an assigned student caseload and execute contact and follow-up strategies • Resolve financial aid problems, hidden barriers, escalated requests, and complex processes • Partner with campus and University Administration teams to ensure funds disburse timely and accurately • Serve in place of the FA Manager when absent and train, mentor, and support newer Financial Aid Advisors • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; experienced candidates may be considered without a degree with more than 10 years of financial aid experience and comparable education/experience • 6 years of customer service experience required • 6 years of financial aid experience required • May not be in default on a federal student loan or owe repayment of a federal grant • Must consent to audio and video recording of student financial aid appointments for training and quality assurance • Highest level of integrity, professional ethics, and confidentiality • Strong customer service skills focused on student success • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Higher-than-average computer skills • Multitasking and time-management skills • Ability to adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Ability to work alternate hours, including nights and weekends, to support students across time zones
