📋 Description

• Provide personalized guidance to students on a wide range of writing assignments, including essays, research papers, and dissertations. • Foster students’ writing skills by offering constructive and actionable feedback to improve clarity, structure, and academic rigor. • Recommend appropriate resources to address individual student needs and enhance their academic writing. • Maintain regular communication with the Writing Center leadership to align with best practices and improve student outcomes. • Ensure feedback is delivered promptly, meeting established deadlines and service standards. • Adjust availability to meet Writing Center needs on a part-time schedule. • Contribute to the development of Writing Center resources, including instructional guides, templates, and FAQs. • Handle other projects and tasks as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. • Strong proficiency in academic writing, including grammar, structure, APA formatting, and research methodologies. • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback. • Proven organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple student submissions and deadlines effectively. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment while maintaining attention to detail. • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word (Track Changes), Google Workspace, and familiarity with online learning platforms. • Expertise in APA 7th edition formatting and citation styles. • Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and the ability to inspire confidence in students. • Adaptability to tailor feedback and communication styles to meet individual student needs. • Experience supporting students with ESL/EFL backgrounds. • Knowledge of instructional best practices for academic writing. • Familiarity with online tutoring tools and platforms such as Zoom. • Proficiency in using citation management tools (e.g., EndNote, Zotero, or Mendeley)
