📋 Description

• Set up newly contracted merchants and corresponding locations • Administer existing merchants, including market or contract-term changes • Configure merchant financial contract terms, including interchange rates, payment terms, depository bank information, and fees • Integrate AI and automation technologies into operational processes to drive scale, reduce manual work, and mitigate operational risks • Respond to stakeholder requests with appropriate urgency • Manage maintenance, adjustment, and setup requests within deadlines and with minimal errors • Identify and implement process-efficiency and improvement opportunities • Ensure best practices are followed for Bank/TIN changes while meeting service-level objectives • Investigate and resolve servicing, electronic file, network, settlement, site, reporting, and billing issues • Manage stakeholder relationships and maintain client satisfaction • Advocate for merchant needs and coordinate communication across WEX functional areas • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, policies, and contracts • Mitigate financial risk related to contractual compliance • Manage audit, volume, performance, and customized reporting using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Ensure reporting accuracy before sharing with stakeholders • Manage and execute Merchant Risk projects • Identify outdated or inefficient processes, drive improvements, eliminate waste, and recommend technical developments • Respond to operational change and growth and take on stretch assignments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a comparable operations role • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Results driven, action orientated and self-motivated • Flexible/adaptable to change • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally • Interpersonal and customer service skills • Intermediate knowledge of PC-based application software, especially spreadsheets and data management • Strong attention to detail with experience conducting quality audits • Proven experience managing high-volume financial transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards • Ability to interpret contract language and operational financial terms • Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Excellent time management, prioritization, goal-setting, planning, and work-scheduling skills • Professional demeanor and ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines • Must successfully pass a background investigation • Preferred: ability to operate calmly in complex and changing environments • Preferred: ability to identify performance and efficiency improvements • Preferred: strong service orientation • Preferred: AI experience with Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar
