📋 Description

• Serve as WPE's healthcare subject matter expert for hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, and other healthcare providers • Advise clients on facility modernization, infrastructure renewal, energy efficiency, decarbonization, and resilience • Support business development by identifying opportunities, building executive relationships, and representing WPE at meetings and industry events • Contribute to proposals, RFQ/RFP responses, client interviews, win strategies, technical approaches, and case studies • Assess facility conditions, capital plans, and master plans and shape integrated infrastructure solutions • Advise on project delivery and funding approaches, including ESPC, design-build, energy-as-a-service, incentives, grants, and tax incentives • Provide guidance on California Title 24, OSHPD/HCAI, permitting, inspections, seismic requirements, and regulatory compliance • Address occupied 24/7 patient-care environments, including ICRA, interim life safety measures, phasing, utility shutdowns, and accreditation requirements • Support energy, carbon, and water reduction goals and LEED, ENERGY STAR, and building performance standard compliance • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams through design and construction • Mentor and train staff on healthcare operations, codes, and client expectations • Monitor healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and funding programs • Lead facility and infrastructure assessments, decarbonization roadmaps, capital planning support, feasibility studies, and compliance reviews • Develop executive-ready business cases, life-cycle cost and risk analyses, recommendations, and leadership presentations • Provide client support from planning and procurement through design, construction, commissioning, and measurement and verification • Support procurement, contracting, solicitation documents, evaluation criteria, and stakeholder alignment • Educate executives, boards, and client teams through workshops, briefings, and training • Provide owner’s representative-style project management covering scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management • Support construction and occupancy readiness, testing, commissioning, and turnover to facility operations • Facilitate post-project reviews and performance tracking • Build relationships with healthcare industry organizations including ASHE, hospital associations, and Practice Greenhealth

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, healthcare administration, or a related field required • 15 or more years of facilities, planning, development, and/or construction experience working directly for healthcare provider organizations • Demonstrated experience leading capital programs and projects across multiple markets in North America • Expert knowledge of California Title 24 and OSHPD/HCAI requirements, including plan review, permitting, construction inspection, and hospital seismic compliance • Proven track record advancing sustainability initiatives in healthcare facilities, including energy efficiency, decarbonization, electrification, and green building certification • Working knowledge of NFPA 99, NFPA 101, FGI Guidelines, ASHRAE 170, and Joint Commission Environment of Care requirements • Demonstrated experience in a client advisory, consulting, or owner's representative capacity • Strong project management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and training skills • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and deliver excellent customer service • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, entrepreneurial environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite • Broad knowledge of energy performance contracting, alternative project delivery methods, and healthcare facility operations • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time • Advanced degree such as MBA or MHA preferred • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, CMMS platforms, project management, capital planning, and facility management systems preferred
