📋 Description

• Independently define analytical approaches, design research methodologies, and provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders • Develop, validate, and productionize machine learning models using predictive modeling, Random Forest, Bayesian hierarchical modeling, and geospatial analysis • Work directly with external clients and government stakeholders to understand project needs, manage expectations, and deliver data science solutions • Present complex technical findings, methodologies, and actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders and decision-makers • Oversee ETL/ELT pipeline development, data governance, access controls, and secure handling of sensitive health and regulated datasets • Use Azure Databricks, R, and SQL to build and deploy scalable data science solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Senior-level Data Scientist able to operate independently • Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Databricks • Advanced proficiency in R • Strong SQL and database management experience • Proven experience with machine learning techniques, including predictive modeling and Random Forest • Experience handling sensitive health, research, or highly regulated datasets • Must hold a current CITI Certification or be able to quickly obtain one • Advanced R Shiny experience • Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines • PhD or extensive applied Data Science experience in a related field • Deep expertise in Bayesian hierarchical modeling, spatial/geospatial modeling, model validation, and advanced statistical analysis • Prior consulting experience with external clients, particularly government or public-sector clients • Experience with Azure Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL or similar data warehouse environments, ETL/ELT pipeline development, relational and NoSQL databases, data governance, strict access controls, and MLOps
