📋 Description

• Develop floor plans and elevations in AutoCAD based on measurements, references, mood boards, and discussions with the studio director • Propose layout alternatives and explain their advantages, limitations, and trade-offs • Plan spaces around each family’s habits and needs • Analyze circulation, storage, equipment, and everyday use of each room • Develop proposals for kitchens, bathrooms, and furniture, considering dimensions, functionality, and accessibility • Interpret visual references and turn them into concrete design solutions • Review available measurements and information before proceeding • Identify missing data or measurements and consolidate questions to work efficiently • Propose solutions to project inconsistencies or limitations • Communicate progress, questions, and decisions clearly and in an organized manner • Meet the agreed deadlines for each project • Collaborate directly with the studio director by interpreting her creative vision and developing functional proposals

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrable experience developing residential interior design projects, including houses, apartments, and renovations • Proficiency in AutoCAD for developing floor plans and elevations • Portfolio featuring residential projects that includes drawings and examples of functional design decisions, along with images or renders of the final result • Ability to interpret creative direction and develop it independently • Design judgment to evaluate solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose alternatives • Ability to understand client needs and translate them into functional design decisions • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with the studio director • Attention to detail and precision in developing drawings • Experience developing kitchens, bathrooms, and custom furniture (a plus) • Knowledge of ergonomics and accessibility as applied to residential design (a plus) • Experience with renovations and adapting existing spaces (a plus) • Proficiency with 3D modeling and/or rendering tools (a plus) • Experience working remotely with architecture or interior design studios (a plus) • Knowledge of materials, equipment, and construction solutions for residential projects (a plus) • Please include a brief introduction and summary of your residential experience, 2 or 3 projects with floor plans and elevations, details of the work you personally developed, an example of an improved layout, your availability and preferred working/fee arrangement, and a portfolio or link to your work
