• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting • Partner with department leaders to explain budget-to-actual variances and support forecasting and financial planning • Provide financial data, analysis, and materials for senior leadership and Board of Directors presentations • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies and procedures • Coordinate the annual external audit and respond to auditor requests • Coordinate annual corporate tax preparation with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders • Lead the annual budgeting process, including timelines, templates, assumptions, submissions, consolidation, and management review • Maintain and strengthen financial reporting processes, internal controls, and documentation • Improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership • Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, payroll, and general ledger management • Ensure timely reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial information • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets • Recommend improvements to financial policies and practices • Serve as the Finance representative for projects, software implementations, product launches, and organizational initiatives • Review financial terms of customer and vendor contracts with Legal and business stakeholders • Supervise and mentor finance department staff • Provide outstanding internal and external customer service • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field • Three years managing a team with responsibility for business results • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a non-profit organization • Strong knowledge of GAAP, non-profit accounting, and financial regulations • Experience with budget management, financial reporting, and grant accounting • Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and database management systems • Experience with association management software is desired but not required • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Adaptive is a plus • Ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and identify effective solutions • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to identify and implement process improvements in financial operations • Strong project-management and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with individuals at all levels, including board members and member volunteers • Commitment to outstanding customer service • No specific work authorization requirement stated
