📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive wound assessments and treatment plans for patients in their homes, skilled nursing facilities, and other care settings • Perform debridement procedures (sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, mechanical) as necessary • Utilize advanced wound care techniques, including negative pressure wound therapy, compression therapy, and biologic dressings • Assess for and manage wound infections, collaborating with physicians for antibiotic therapy when needed • Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on wound prevention, treatment, and management strategies • Coordinate care with primary care providers, home health agencies, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care • Document patient encounters in an EMR system in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal healing outcomes • Stay up to date with the latest evidence-based wound care practices and guidelines

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Nevada • Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP (AGNP), or other relevant certification • Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), Wound Care Certification (WCC), or similar is preferred • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in wound care, dermatology, home health, or related specialty • Strong ability to work independently and autonomously in the field • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the service area
