📋 Description

• Perform pre-award duties for complex proposals, including program projects, ARPA-H, DOD, and DOE applications • Work with faculty in proposal preparation and submission • Manage proposal budgets, analyses, and justifications • Serve as liaison between the Chair, faculty, and department administrators • Coordinate grant submissions, prepare budgets, obtain pricing quotes, and compile regulatory compliance data • Prepare and review agency forms and enter grant budgeting documents online • Obtain PI and institutional signatures for proposal submissions • Initiate subaward setup and coordinate with Post-award and OSRS for contracts and subcontracts • Review complex notices of award and communicate sponsor documents, terms, conditions, and committed effort • Monitor annual agency reports, including RPPRs • Oversee transfers of PI grants and contracts into WashU and to new institutions or departments • Coordinate responses to complex grant-related information requests • Analyze grant submission, award, rejection, and funding-trend metrics • Organize action plans and alerts for upcoming grant deadlines • Close complex sponsored project accounts and submit final reports and invention statements • Manage complex sponsored-project budgets, expenditures, reconciliations, and subawards • Approve purchasing documents and provide guidance on grant-policy-compliant expenditures • Troubleshoot fund-profile setups and financial reports • Prepare correspondence with granting agencies regarding carry-forward requests, effort changes, prior approvals, no-cost extensions, equipment purchases, and budget reallocations • Prepare monthly financial reports and discuss them with PIs and senior leadership • Reconcile funds and monitor spending levels, overdrafts, and cost-sharing commitments • Process budget adjustments and provide fund management support to PIs • Prepare invoices when applicable and track sponsor payments • Assist senior leadership with special projects • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education • 3 years of relevant experience • Preferred knowledge of S2S, Research Management System (RMS), and SUBS system • Preferred knowledge of agency guidelines • Knowledge of accounting processes • Adobe Acrobat • Analytical thinking • Computerized accounting • Computer literacy • Deadline management • Grant administration • IBM Cognos Analytics • Microsoft Office • Supervisory management • Workday Software • No specific certification/professional license is required • A driver's license is not required
