📋 Description

• Provide expertise to clinical documentation process improvement and data analytics teams, oversight committees, and senior leadership • Acquire, integrate, monitor, interpret, and analytically design relevant data • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, reliability, and interpretation using various applications • Perform analytical work with limited supervision and take full responsibility for projects and report/data production • Analyze problems, validate assumptions, collect information, and draw meaningful inferences • Evaluate technologies and software functionality to improve information delivery to leadership • Work within WVU Medicine and with vendors; manage and escalate incidents and problems for resolution • Serve as a lead member of process improvement teams • Test applications, prepare system test scripts, use automated testing software, and perform functional and usability testing in collaboration with IT • Provide expertise in analytics, requirements, outcomes, interpretation, and development • Set up and maintain databases and workflows; provide drill-down analytics and data validation • Consult with team members, providers, and leadership on data interpretation • Assist in CDI staffing as needed • Contribute to performance monitoring and capacity planning for assigned applications • Complete end-user requests for application and interface support or changes • Troubleshoot problems, identify resolutions or requested changes, and report work status to end users • Perform department and user needs analysis for operational support, problem resolution, and application changes • Build, test, and maintain reports and identify opportunities to enhance analysis and reporting data

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree OR three years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an outpatient/ambulatory or inpatient acute care setting OR three years of clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient/ambulatory or inpatient acute care setting • Certification in one of: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CRC, CCDS, CCDS-O, CDIP, CDEI, or CDEO • Two years of CDI experience • Three years of experience with computer applications including Excel, 3M360, Epic, Word, Tableau, and PowerPoint • Experience with data extraction preferred • Experience developing and maintaining metrics and communication dashboards preferred • Experience in Revenue Cycle preferred • Strong understanding of Excel, 3M360, Epic, Word, and PowerPoint • Strong organization and presentation skills • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Knowledge of provider healthcare compliance, revenue cycle operations, and auditing techniques • Ability to mentor, educate, and train others • Ability to ensure quality and productivity standards • Ability to handle high-stress and critical situations calmly and professionally • Ability to concentrate and maintain accuracy during interruptions • Independent decision-making ability • Ability to prioritize job duties • Ability to adapt to changes in the workplace and work assignments • Organizational and time-management skills • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in office software programs, including medical records • Ability to analyze complex data and reports • Ability to sit for long periods, with normal visual and hearing acuity and manual dexterity to operate computer and office equipment • Ability to lift, push, or pull 10–20 pounds
