📋 Description

• Own deployment support, monitoring, and day-to-day reliability of traditional ML, Generative AI, and agentic AI systems in production • Lead incident response and root-cause troubleshooting for AI/ML services • Partner with MLOps, Cloud Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to build and maintain deployment pipelines • Build observability practices covering drift detection, latency, uptime, accuracy decay, and agent action-level tracing • Define production health metrics and route performance degradation to build teams for remediation • Establish dashboards and alerting for real-time visibility into AI system health • Connect AI systems with Security, Infrastructure, and IT teams to ensure security and access-control standards • Instrument and operate fairness, safety, and bias-monitoring metrics defined by AI Governance • Coordinate AI Build team handoffs into production and conduct production-readiness reviews • Lead and grow a production support and observability team • Set priorities, manage team capacity, mentor team members, and build an operational on-call culture • Establish Ethical AI best practices and SOPs across the AI stack • Target annual reductions in AI development and runtime costs • Work with Governance and Compliance to establish measurable, monitored, and auditable standards

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML operations, MLOps, or production data science, including 2+ years of people or team leadership • Hands-on experience operating traditional ML and GenAI systems in production, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response • Strong understanding of observability practices, including drift detection, model performance monitoring, logging, and alerting at scale • Experience partnering with Security and Infrastructure teams on production risk and access controls • Excellent communication skills to translate operational risk for technical and business stakeholders • Prior healthcare, health tech, payer, or provider experience preferred • Experience operating agentic AI systems, including tool-use monitoring, guardrails, and action-level tracing, preferred • Familiarity with Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, LangFuse, and native AWS cloud platform capabilities preferred • Experience alongside a dedicated AI Governance function preferred • Must pass a background check • Must already be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without current or future visa sponsorship
