📋 Description

• Own the electrical and controls scope for assigned projects from design through commissioning • Develop control system designs including: • Electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and interconnection drawings • Control panel layouts and specifications (PLC panels, MCCs, VFDs) • Bills of material (BOMs) and instrument data sheets (IDS) • Create controls narratives, cause & effect diagrams, and PLC/HMI programs • Review project scope and proactively resolve gaps or ambiguities • Support field activities including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and field teams to deliver high-quality systems • Assist with proposals, estimates, and technical documentation • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (CSA, NEC, NFPA, TSSA)

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) • 5+ years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation • Experience with electrical and control panel design • Experience creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC/HMI programs • Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, CSA, NEC, and related standards
