📋 Description

• Own core areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Prepare journal entries accurately • Reconcile ledger and sub-ledger accounts after each monthly close • Reconcile the deferred revenue waterfall • Support revenue recognition review in accordance with ASC 606 • Collaborate with RevOps to ensure customer invoices match contracts • Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP • Perform financial statement analytics and investigate variances • Assist with audit readiness initiatives • Support the fiscal year-end financial statement audit • Coordinate with external tax accountants on the PBC list • Assess and establish effective internal controls and best practices • Maintain the accounting playbook • Contribute to ERP and systems assessment, design, and implementation • Assist with maintenance of the Ramp spend management platform • Work directly with the Controller to build scalable finance processes

🎯 Requirements

• CPA designation required • Bachelor's degree in accounting • 4 to 6 years of progressive corporate accounting experience • Knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles, including ASC 606, ASC 842, stock-based compensation, and SaaS revenue recognition • Experience with financial reporting and SaaS metrics • Demonstrated experience using AI to streamline workflows and improve processes • Background and reference checks required as part of onboarding • Candidates must reside in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IA, KS, MA, MI, NE, NJ, NV, NY, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, WA, or WI • Public accounting experience • Previous experience at a VC-backed tech startup • Expertise with ERP systems such as Campfire, Rillet, or NetSuite • Hands-on systems implementation experience
