Descrição

• Perform substation physical electrical engineering design at HV and EHV voltage levels, including general arrangements, electrical plans and sections, grounding, raceway, shielding, and lighting plans and details • Perform protection and control engineering design, including relaying one-lines, AC/DC schematics, metering, SCADA, station communications, automation, and security systems • Read and design substation physical drawings, including operation one-lines, electrical plans and sections, foundation layouts, and grounding layouts • Assist senior engineers with engineering studies • Prepare engineered drawings, technical reports, project correspondence, and other project documentation • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and assess impacts of design changes • Perform quality control reviews where applicable • Provide technical oversight, direction, and support for project teams where applicable • Assist with proposal preparation under project engineer direction • Provide drawing counts and manhour estimates for specified projects • Help develop processes and procedures to improve project execution efficiency • Maintain accurate records and files • Develop and deliver technical presentations for training and staff development • Assist project engineers with technical support to field personnel during construction

🎯 Requisitos

• B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university, Electrical preferred • 4+ years of prior relevant substation engineering experience • Familiarity with electric infrastructure and substation engineering theories and principles • Experience with engineering programs and software, including SKM, ASPEN, ETAP, CDEGS, or vendor software • Competency in applying basic substation engineering theories and principles • Experience with Engineering, Procurement & Construction turnkey projects for electric utilities strongly preferred • Proficiency with Bentley ProjectWise data management system preferred • Engineer In Training (EIT) preferred • Understanding of the function and application of major substation electrical and control house equipment • Experience working on EPC projects or similar contracts preferred • Construction support experience preferred • Understanding of quality and quality control in the power/consulting industry • Ability to meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
