• Join AbbVie Canada's commercial sales team as an Oncology Therapeutic Specialist • Focus on oncologists treating hematological malignancies • Develop robust business plans to execute brand strategy and field tactics • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to improve sales performance • Handle objections and concerns using a logical, rational approach to close sales calls • Support key stakeholders' needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships • Execute call plans, achieve set metrics, and optimize coverage of key customers • Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise • Share market intelligence with the district manager and team members to align strategy and anticipate environmental changes • Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Support short- and long-term sales performance while centering patient needs and complying with AbbVie's code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws • Travel approximately 30% overnight for ongoing territory management
• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing or equivalent • Minimum of three to five years in a Specialty Sales role with a strong clinical background within the pharmaceutical industry • Oncology experience in hematology a strong asset • In-depth scientific and therapeutic knowledge in hematology-oncology and the Canadian Hematological Oncology sector required • Physician/account-based selling, CHE/educational/training, medical, managed health care or marketing experience preferred • Hospital network skills are imperative • Proven track record in sales and solid presentation skills • Strong ability to proactively identify customer style / behavior and quickly adapt all aspects of selling approach • In-depth scientific, hematology product and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Ability to offer innovative ideas and solutions and anticipate and respond to changes or challenges • Collaborative partnership skills with district colleagues and team • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility • English language proficiency (oral and written); French an asset • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) • Must be at ease with technology and various tools/systems • Ability to work evenings/weekends from time to time, including overnight travel • Valid driver's license and passport • Ability to think strategically and develop high-quality territory and account plans • Sound business judgment and executive leadership mindset • Ability to predict contingent outcomes from customer and competitive perspectives • In-depth analytical skills • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with in-field team members
