• Join AbbVie Canada's Gynecology & Gastroenterology (Motility) commercial sales team • Be based in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and cover British Columbia and Saskatchewan • Call on gynecologists treating endometriosis and uterine fibroids • Call on gastroenterologists treating CIC, functional constipation, and IBS-C • Develop business/account plans and execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations • Handle objections and close sales calls in person or virtually • Support stakeholder needs and build trusted customer relationships • Execute call plans and optimize coverage of key customers • Build knowledge of customers, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical expertise • Share market intelligence with the district manager and team members • Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates • Collaborate in a cross-functional matrix team with medical, market access, government affairs, health education, marketing, trade relations, patient engagement, and AbbVie Care teams
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Business or equivalent • Minimum of three to five years in a Specialty Sales role within the pharmaceutical industry • Gynecology experience is preferred • Gastroenterology experience is an asset • Established relationships with existing HCP targets is an asset • Physician/account-based selling, CHE / OLA / training, managed health care or marketing experience are preferred • Proven track record in sales and solid presentation skills both F2F and virtually • Experience with IntelAgree, CTE/Concur, or Veeva is an asset • Strong ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word • Proficiency with virtual platforms, including Zoom, Veeva Engage/CLM, and Microsoft Teams • Ability to work evenings/weekends from time to time, including overnight travel • Expected travel within territory of 50% • Valid driver’s license and passport • Ability to think strategically and develop a high-quality territory plan • Sound business judgment and executive leadership mindset • Ability to predict contingent customer and competitive outcomes • In-depth analytical skills • Effective communication and collaboration with in-field team members
