📋 Description

• Manage and lead business development in major key customer accounts • Represent AbbVie to identified Key Accounts and build long-term customer relationships across glaucoma and dry eye disease portfolios • Cultivate existing customer relationships and expand awareness and use of AbbVie Vision Care products within the territory • Manage sales at customer and hospital level according to approved marketing plans and company policies • Attain or exceed sales targets for the assigned territory • Act as customer expert and manager of AbbVie commercial relationships with External Experts • Maintain a macro view of customer relationships and work cross-functionally to maximize sales results • Ensure internal team members understand and execute customer strategy and sales expectations • Identify and co-develop solutions within Key Accounts • Identify challenges to effective customer interactions and establish processes to mitigate them • Advocate for customers within AbbVie by identifying issues, concerns, and priorities • Build deep engagements within Key Account organizations and understand their priorities, structure, and business environment • Develop trusting relationships with Key Accounts and grow market share in Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease • Develop account-specific strategies aligned with AbbVie guidelines and values • Collaborate with AbbVie Medical and AbbVie Institute Clinical Specialist teams • Develop strategic business plans to increase market share • Conduct regular internal and external sales reviews of territory performance • Execute national marketing programs with cross-functional teams • Identify collaboration and growth opportunities and new Key Accounts • Manage territory budget and resource allocation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science or equivalent, or MBA combination of experience and education required • Minimum of 5 years of Sales and/or marketing/or head office operational experience • Key Account Management experience valued • Experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales is required • Thorough understanding of the institutional/Key Account healthcare sector preferred • Demonstrated track record of achieving and/or exceeding business results • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Strong business acumen and self-starter • Leadership capabilities, listening and adaptability skills • Strong presentation and communication skills • Proven ability to communicate cross-functionally within the company • Ability to communicate with senior leaders with customers and internally • Fluent in English, verbal and written • Highly collaborative with a customer-centric mindset • Able to travel up to 50% of the time • Position requires evening/weekend work, including overnight travel • Valid driver’s license and passport • Role based in Edmonton or Calgary • Ability to think strategically to support development of a high-quality territory plan • Sound business judgment and executive leadership mindset • Ability to predict contingent outcomes from customer and competitive perspectives • In-depth analytical skills • Ability to communicate and collaborate with in-field team members to develop and maximize integrated account plans
