📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day Scrum activities as needed, including planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives • Review business requirements and user stories; lead task breakdown and estimation; provide alternative solutions and negotiate with Product Management • Own small to mid-sized engineering/QA projects or product areas • Define and oversee test automation and quality delivery for the squad • Review teammates’ work for quality, architecture, and best-practice adherence • Troubleshoot and reproduce customer-found issues • Lead integration of AI and Generative AI tooling into QA workflows • Apply Gen AI to test case creation, test data generation, and documentation • Evaluate and champion AI-native QA tools and agentic IDE practices • Architect and implement UI visual regression testing in CI/CD pipelines • Define visual comparison baselines, screenshot strategies, and tolerance thresholds • Drive visual testing as a quality gate • Lead DORA metrics measurement and improvement across engineering teams • Establish DORA reporting, targets, and actionable dashboards • Address quality and process bottlenecks through automation, test coverage, and CI/CD optimization • Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering teams on reliability and deployment velocity • Develop automation code, standards, reusable test components, architecture documentation, and quality plans • Support build, deployment, and monitoring processes with emphasis on security, performance, and scalability • Evaluate emerging technologies and practices for QA suitability • Mentor and grow the QA practice through standards, tooling, and cross-functional partnership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software QA Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience • 6+ years of software development or SDET experience with a strong automation focus • Strong proficiency in TypeScript for test automation, tooling, and framework development • Strong understanding of unit, integration, and load testing • Significant full life cycle system development experience, including design, building, testing, deployment, upgrade, and support • Experience with application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA • Knowledge of version control, work item tracking, and continuous integration • Hands-on REST API testing experience • Strong knowledge of BDD/TDD methodologies • Familiarity with SQL databases and queries for test data validation • Experience with exploratory testing and CI/CD tools • Hands-on Generative AI experience applied to software engineering or QA workflows • Experience implementing UI visual regression and comparison testing frameworks in CI/CD pipelines • Experience leading or contributing to DORA metrics measurement and improvement • Experience adapting testing techniques, tools, and approaches to context • Experience testing technically complex microservice-oriented and distributed systems with fail-safe requirements • Experience with shift-left and shift-right testing • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills • Excellent communication and influencing skills • Knowledge of performance tuning, scalability, security, reliability, and non-functional testing • Nice to have: AI-powered test generation, intelligent test maintenance, LLM prompt engineering, agentic-IDE practices, security/performance testing, engineering metrics programs, and fitness/wellness or multi-tenant SaaS experience
