📋 Description

• Respond promptly to inbound referrals via phone, fax, webform, and other channels • Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures • Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patients and other sources • Respond to inquiry calls • Schedule assessments • Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment • Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when facility assistance or admission is not appropriate • Coordinate with referral sources • Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients • Maintain all documentation involved with the admissions process • Communicate with patients, families, guests, and healthcare team members • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships • Maintain regular and predictable attendance • Perform other assigned functions and tasks

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • Two years’ experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field • Addiction Counselor Trainee (ACT) required • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required; training available upon hire and offered by facility • First aid may be required based on state or facility • Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC), Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDS), or Certified Employee Assistance Program (CEAP) certification preferred • College degree preferred • Ability to respond to inbound referrals via phone, fax, and webform • Ability to review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures • Ability to gather clinical and demographic data • Ability to schedule assessments and coordinate transportation arrangements • Ability to maintain admissions documentation • Ability to comply with confidentiality policies and organizational procedures
