📋 Description

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and product development • Articulate technical constraints and partner on decisions involving risks and trade-offs • Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts and escalate issues when needed • Support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts • Participate in growth and development activities, including interviews • Build and operate systems handling post-transaction interactions for Affirm Card transactions • Help ensure accurate customer resolutions and timely communications after card transactions

🎯 Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems • Proficiency in Python or Kotlin • Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes • Ability to design solutions involving multiple software components • Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code • Comfort navigating large codebases and debugging others' code • Experience providing feedback through code reviews • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
