📋 Description

• Build systems that detect bugs before release • Develop, maintain, improve, and scale automated testing strategies • Guide, review, support, and mentor QA developers • Write, review, and improve automated tests in JavaScript and TypeScript • Architect, optimize, and scale testing frameworks across the Shopify Hydrogen storefront and backend middleware • Integrate automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines • Monitor and report quality metrics including automation coverage, pipeline stability, test execution runtimes, flaky test reduction, and production defect leakage • Perform API contract testing, performance profiling, load testing, and browser developer tool profiling • Help improve the quality, stability, and reliability of AlgaeCal's React-based storefront, middleware, and eCommerce platforms

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of QA development experience • 2+ years of leadership, mentorship, or coaching experience • Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript • Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar automated testing frameworks • Experience architecting, optimizing, and scaling automated testing frameworks across frontend storefronts and backend middleware • Experience with Shopify Hydrogen storefront and middleware • Experience integrating automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines • Knowledge of automation coverage, pipeline stability, test execution runtimes, flaky test reduction, production defect leakage, and quality reporting • Familiarity with API contract testing, performance profiling, load testing, and browser developer tool profiling • Curiosity, technical aptitude, willingness to investigate deeply • Experience with Python, PHP, Figma, Storybook, or Jest is an advantage • Humble, hungry to learn, and people smart
