📋 Description

• Plan, manage, and control projects related to biomedical engineering support services, medical equipment implementation, and clinical system integration • Develop and maintain project management documentation, including project charters, project management plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports • Coordinate with VA Biomedical Engineering departments, clinicians, IT personnel, vendors, and facility leadership • Monitor project performance against milestones, schedules, and objectives • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues • Facilitate project meetings, technical discussions, and stakeholder communications • Support planning and coordination for medical equipment installations, technology upgrades, and system implementations • Track project activities, deliverables, and resource requirements • Prepare and deliver status reports covering project progress, risks, financial considerations, and resource requirements • Ensure alignment with VA policies, regulatory requirements, and healthcare technology management standards • Support technology implementation activities including site readiness, installation planning, system configuration, and transition to operational sustainment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher • Certification in project management (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP)) • A minimum of two years of hospital or healthcare experience planning, managing, and controlling projects • Competency in planning, managing, and controlling projects throughout their lifecycle • Experience writing or reviewing project management documentation, including project charters, project management plans, and Business Reference Model (BRM) • Problem-solving and risk mitigation and management skills • Mastery and skill in applying project management theory, concepts, practices, and techniques consistent with PMI PMBOK principles • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including technical and professional staff at various organizational levels • Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry regulatory requirements, and International Standard Organization standards • Proven ability to lead complex projects, such as integrating biomedical devices and systems with EHR and PACS using HL7 and DICOM protocols (optional)
