📋 Description

• Oversee PMO governance processes to ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, policies, and objectives • Enforce project discipline, maintain transparency in project performance, and ensure projects deliver value aligned with organizational goals • Independently verify the correctness of Estimate to and at Complete as a checks-and-balances function separate from Finance and Project Execution teams • Assist in defining and updating project governance policies, procedures, and templates • Enforce document management policies and maintain project documentation quality and completeness • Conduct monthly project reviews for POC-based and Service projects with project, program, finance, and optional site, regional, operations, and HR leaders • Conduct field audits at internal and external locations • Perform quality reviews and ensure changes to project scope, budget, or timelines are controlled, documented, and approved • Identify non-compliance, recommend corrective actions, and follow up • Monitor project risk and issue management and track resolutions • Create and maintain governance dashboards and reports • Provide leadership visibility into compliance status, project health, and governance adherence • Prepare stakeholder reports and track KPIs including cost, schedule, scope, and quality • Prepare quarterly Independent Project Risk Assessment Reports for POC projects • Assess governance processes, gather feedback, and drive process improvements • Develop and maintain project management templates, tools, and processes • Collect lessons learned to refine PMO practices and improve project performance • Train regional users on PPM Software, Power BI, JIRA, P6, Excel project documents, and MS Project • Verify project data accuracy and maintain project systems • Automate data collection and reporting processes • Support implementation of project systems and tools across global sites with IT and site leadership • Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance and report concerns or incidents

🎯 Requirements

• Post secondary education in project management, business administration, engineering or related education • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent project management credential is considered an asset • Candidates who do not currently hold PMP certification or an equivalent credential must commit to obtaining PMP certification within 12 months of appointment • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related role with a focus on governance • Understanding of project governance frameworks and regulatory requirements • Understanding of project management methodologies and tools • Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills • Proficient in project management software and tools • Strong analytical and reporting skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team • Ability to travel internationally 10% of the time • Responsibility to work in conformance with health, safety and environmental procedures and legislative requirements • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
