📋 Description

• Lead and develop an engineering team responsible for Auvik’s core Network Management technology • Own the health, performance, reliability, scalability, and ongoing evolution of foundational production systems • Lead a team while fostering growth, accountability, and a strong team culture • Own team outcomes and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that create customer and business value • Partner with Product Management to shape priorities, make tradeoffs, and execute roadmap initiatives • Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, and decisions • Drive engineering excellence through best practices, tools, and efficient development processes • Provide technical guidance and support the evolution of microservices and modern frameworks • Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent • Manage and scale distributed teams across locations • Strengthen agile practices and improve delivery through CI/CD and modern workflows • Ensure reliable production systems through incident and change management

🎯 Requirements

• A few years of experience leading and developing engineering teams • Track record of building strong, accountable, and high-performing teams • Experience working with distributed teams and scaling engineering organizations • Ability to operate with ownership, make sound decisions, and navigate tradeoffs in a fast-moving environment • Strong product and business sense • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices • Experience operating and supporting production systems, with an emphasis on reliability and scalability • Ability to provide technical guidance and contribute to architectural and system design discussions • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence across teams • Ability to recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent • Bonus: experience in network management or monitoring • Bonus: experience with device management or identification • Bonus: experience with network automation • Backend technologies: Go, Java, Scala • Frontend technologies: React, TypeScript, GraphQL • Infrastructure and data technologies: Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS • Experience with relational databases, NoSQL and document stores, and OLAP systems • Experience with logging, metrics, and tracing across distributed systems
