BiVACOR is a clinical-stage medical device company developing a next-generation Total Artificial Heart (TAH) to treat end-stage biventricular heart failure. Its electro-mechanical rotary TAH uses a single, magnetically‑levitated dual‑sided rotor to pump blood to the systemic and pulmonary circulations, combining centrifugal pump and MAGLEV technologies to deliver high physiological flows with low wear. BiVACOR is conducting an FDA‑approved early feasibility (first‑in‑human) study, emphasizes durability, compact size, and portability with an external controller and batteries, and is headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA with clinical offices in Houston and international presence in Australia.
