📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using modern cloud tools • Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver data-driven features and services supporting the safety mission • Support ETL/ELT processes, data lake, data warehouse, and data lakehouse environments • Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability through monitoring, alerting, and documentation • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the long-term data platform strategy • Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and data science partners • Help productionize models, ensure training data quality, and build reliable data feeds for analytical and predictive use cases

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Computing Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline • 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role • Experience with event-driven architecture and technologies such as Apache Kafka or Amazon MSK • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD best practices in multi-environment deployment workflows • Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitHub Actions • Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or PagerDuty • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT and orchestration tools including AWS Glue Studio, Matillion, and AWS Step Functions • Proficiency with AWS data services including Redshift, EMR, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, and MSK • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, and/or Scala • Pragmatic problem-solving approach and passion for enabling better decisions through data • Understanding that clean architecture and thorough documentation are essential • Ability to work effectively in agile teams and collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics partners • Experience with data modeling and event-driven architectures • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Amazon Q Developer, and GitHub Copilot
