📋 Description

• Implement the Finance Roadmap and strategic transformation plan • Work with Finance and adjacent-area leaders to identify and execute strategic initiatives • Identify leading practices, improve processes, enhance systems, and realign the Finance organization • Lead workstreams within larger transformation efforts • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop actionable recommendations • Present Finance team findings to senior Finance stakeholders • Implement recommendations and build trusted advisor relationships with Finance counterparts • Create PowerPoint presentations for senior system leadership • Develop, own, and modify detailed Excel models for what-if analyses and other analytical tasks • Participate in finance transformation projects from assessment through implementation • Establish key metrics, facilitate working team meetings, mitigate risks and issues, develop content, and ensure Finance Roadmap results are met • Serve as the finance arm of the organization’s performance improvement program • Support cross-functional performance improvement efforts using sound financial analysis and reporting • Lead strategic and transformation initiatives as the financial/operational lead • Drive coordination within Finance and the broader organization for planning, forecasting, and business recognition of decisions/results • Build partnerships among finance teams, Decision Support, FP&A, and technology teams including Strata and HealthQlix • Align the Financial Roadmap with operational requirements and new tools and processes • Document current data system capabilities, functions, and limitations to identify reporting gaps • Research best practices and perform cost-benefit analyses to recommend Roadmap adjustments • Drive automation and efficient processes across Finance

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics), Public Health, Public Administration, or Health Administration • 5+ years of relevant experience with Healthcare Finance, Finance Transformation, Organizational Transformation, or Strategy Consulting • Strong financial and technical skills • Strong analytical, project management, organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytic, and problem-solving skills • Facility with Excel and PowerPoint • Ability to present to multiple levels of staff, from executives to staff, including clinical and non-clinical personnel • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritize issues, and meet aggressive deadlines • Ability to foster trust and collaboration across complex departments, specialties, and clinical disciplines • Ability to oversee colleagues who manage projects • High degree of accountability • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to accept new responsibilities • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Ability to operate independently with good judgment and minimal supervision • Proven ability to interface with senior leaders and work with physicians and varying levels of management • Superior communication skills and ability to coach and develop a diverse team • Proven time-management, multitasking, prioritization, and flexibility abilities • Demonstrated ability to own processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement improvements • Understanding of financial and accounting metrics and reporting for complex business decision-making • Must adhere to BMC’s RESPECT behavioral standards • Must follow established hospital infection control and safety procedures as applicable
