📋 Description

• Contribute to delivery of regulatory programs across applicable Tier 1 risk types • Contribute to design of governance and control requirements for products, processes, and channels • Support design, development, automation, coordination, and continuous improvement of evidence-based controls and 1LOD LOB risk management programs • Support implementation of risk management programs and frameworks • Execute strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders • Build stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards • Build and lead or participate in change management activities • Monitor adherence to defined processes and procedures • Develop, document, maintain, approve, and communicate business/group procedures • Track exception and exemption requests and approvals • Promote risk identification and management through communications, practical tools, presentations, and ongoing support • Interpret, apply, and operationalize regulatory frameworks across the LOB/jurisdiction • Conduct or support self-assessments, coordinate risk remediation, respond to regulatory requirements, implement policies, and manage risk measurement and reporting • Identify, investigate, analyze, document, and mitigate program risks • Collaborate with 1LOD, 2LOD, and Corporate Audit to identify, assess, measure, manage, and report risks • Analyze program impact and effectiveness through periodic reviews • Recommend adjustments to programs, policies, and processes • Support internal/external audits and regulatory examinations and assist with action plans • Support development and delivery of risk management training and awareness programs • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy and applicable policies and regulations • Think creatively, propose solutions, and independently diagnose and solve problems • Perform broader work or accountabilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Typically between 3 – 5 years of relevant experience • Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Good program management knowledge • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience • In-depth verbal and written communication skills • In-depth collaboration and team skills • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills • In-depth influence skills • French and English language proficiency implied by the bilingual role title • Ability to work with regulatory frameworks, risk management programs, controls, audits, regulatory examinations, reporting, dashboards, and change management
