• Provide project management of software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platform. • Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resources. • Analyze the need for and provide the necessary project management for project planning, execution (including the development of project plans). • Report on project activities, changes in scope, challenges and requirements to the leadership team as a strategic tool in keeping implementers and decision makers moving toward consistent, business or mission-focused goals and objectives. • Communicate with management internally and at the customer on ongoing status, milestones, and project risks. • Review and analyze process & procedures in order to find opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies, then help drive implementation of these improvements. • Monitor, assess, and improve the effectiveness of program best practices, ensuring continual process and quality improvement with a primary focus on the client account.
• At least five years of technical project management experience - PMP or PRINCE2 certification • Demonstrated knowledge of operations and project management skills • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams, with overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to organize competing priorities and adapt to change • IBM Z Mainframe experience • Experience with IBM Z software products with ISV Product replacement with IBM products • Demonstrated excellent written and communication skills.
