📋 Description

• Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Honeywell Fire portfolio in Canada. • Serve as the Canadian business owner for the Fire ULC-certified product portfolio. • Identify portfolio gaps, market opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging customer requirements. • Partner with global and Americas Offering Management teams to represent Canadian market requirements in future product development plans. • Influence product roadmap prioritization and develop business cases supporting localization, certification, feature enhancements, and market-specific offerings. • Represent Honeywell Canada with regulatory and certification bodies including ULC, FM, and other applicable organizations. • Monitor evolving codes, standards, regulations, and certification requirements and develop compliance strategies. • Partner with engineering, quality, and certification teams on certifications, product enhancements, and compliance initiatives. • Represent Honeywell with CFAA, CANASA, and other industry associations; build relationships with industry stakeholders. • Act as spokesperson and subject matter expert on Canadian fire trends, regulations, and technology advancements. • Conduct market and competitive analysis and develop strategic recommendations. • Support annual operating plans, growth strategies, NPI launches, and long-term portfolio planning. • Provide market insights to Sales leadership. • Engage customers, consultants, distributors, engineers, and end users to gather feedback and identify unmet needs. • Support major project pursuits requiring product expertise, regulatory guidance, or roadmap alignment. • Translate customer and market requirements into product and business recommendations and drive Voice of Customer activities. • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on commercialization, launch strategies, training content, positioning, and sales enablement. • Champion connected fire, CLSS, self-test technologies, Inspire, and future innovations. • Ensure sales and channel organizations can effectively position and sell the Fire portfolio. • Collaborate with global engineering, offering management, quality, manufacturing, and sales organizations. • Lead cross-functional initiatives supporting portfolio expansion, compliance, and growth. • Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to Fire Enterprise leadership and Americas Offering Management.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience within the fire alarm, fire protection, life safety industry or building automation technologies. • 2+ years of extensive experience with Canadian fire codes, ULC standards, certification processes, and regulatory frameworks. • 2+ years of experience in product management, offering management, application engineering, technical sales support or fire systems design • Completed post-secondary education in a related technical field • Ability to travel: Up to 20% travel within Canada and occasionally within North America. • Strong presentation and executive communication capabilities. • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across a matrix organization. • Excellent strategic thinking, business planning, and communication skills. • Ability to build credibility with customers, regulators, consultants, and industry leaders. • Strong understanding of commercial fire systems, detection technologies, notification products, software platforms, and connected solutions • Experience working in a global organization. • Experience with product certification and regulatory compliance processes. • Familiarity with connected fire technologies, cloud solutions, and digital service offerings. • Established industry network within the Canadian fire ecosystem. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Fire Protection, or related field is valued. • CFAA certification, CET designation, P.Eng., or equivalent industry credentials are valued. • Bilingual fluency in French and English is an asset.
