📋 Description

• Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment execution, credit applications, vendor management, and account reconciliation • Supervise and mentor a team of three to four AP associates • Monitor compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards, including W-9 and 1099 reporting • Identify, recommend, and implement AP process improvements, automation, and system enhancements • Develop and maintain vendor relationships and resolve invoicing, payment, and discrepancy issues • Support month-end close through AP reconciliations, accruals, and reports • Prepare and analyze AP reports on cash flow, payment cycles, and vendor performance • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to maintain and improve AP systems • Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits • Develop training materials and standard operating procedures for the AP team • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations to streamline processes and support business objectives

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of accounts payable experience • Experience managing AP functions, including vendor management, invoice processing, and payment execution • Demonstrated supervisory experience leading and mentoring an AP team • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally in e-commerce or technology • Proficiency with AP tools such as Bill.com, Microsoft Dynamics, and other ERP systems • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex data analysis • Proven process improvement experience • Knowledge of AP-related tax compliance, including W-9 and 1099 reporting • Experience implementing or using automation tools for AP processes • Ability to manage AP-related projects, including system upgrades or process overhauls • CPA or CMA certification is a plus • Experience with multi-entity or multi-location businesses is a plus • Familiarity with international payments, vendors, and currencies is a plus • Eligibility to work in the United States • Cart.com does not sponsor or transfer non-immigrant visas
