📋 Description

• Triage customer requirements with the Implementation Consultant into configurations, new functionality, or custom code, prioritizing scalability and reusability • Define new platform functionalities with the SaaS development team for customer go-live • Own technical customer onboarding end to end, including legacy data extraction, field and workflow mapping, transformation authoring, staging dry-runs, delta review, and production cutover with data-integrity guarantees • Translate municipal operations into product configuration covering case types, workflows, fees, templates, and permissions • Write migration transformations, integration adapters, and extraction tooling for legacy systems • Lead customer-side technical stakeholder work with IT directors, GIS teams, security reviews, and municipal Entra/Okta SSO setup • Turn manual implementation workarounds into tooling or product capability specifications • Build the Forward Deployed Engineer playbook, including runbooks, mapping templates, extraction scripts, and estimation models • Use AI coding agents as a first-class part of implementation work • Deliver a cohort of customers under the new implementation model with zero data-integrity incidents and auditable migrations • Reduce and measure implementation timelines • Establish a repeatable FDE playbook for future hires • Drive tooling and product improvements from field reports • Report directly to the CTO

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer • At least 2 years in a customer-facing deployment role, such as FDE, solutions architect, solutions engineer at a data-heavy company, or implementation engineer writing production code • Strong understanding of LLMs and agentic automations • Strong SQL and data-migration skills, including undocumented legacy schemas and auditable data extraction • Strong TypeScript skills • Comfortable using Python for extraction tooling • Integration experience with SSO using SAML/OIDC and REST/webhooks • Ideally experience with GIS (Esri/parcel data) and payments • Comfort working directly with non-technical government customers, city clerks, security reviewers, and IT directors • Judgment regarding bespoke solutions versus repeatable tooling • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed • Successful candidates must undergo comprehensive background checks focused on relevant global sanctions and criminal offences • Ability to work in Canada, as indicated by the Canada-based role location
