📋 Description

• Build and operate an independent commercial insurance advisory business under the Co-operators brand • Partner with business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizations to understand risks and provide tailored insurance and risk management solutions • Build and grow a profitable, sustainable commercial insurance portfolio • Prospect, network, and develop referral relationships in high-opportunity markets • Deliver proactive, advice-based service that strengthens client loyalty and retention • Act as a visible and professional independent representative of Co-operators • Continuously develop expertise in commercial insurance, business risk, and market trends • Manage time, priorities, and sales pipeline while operating independently • Distribute Co-operators products as an exclusive independent advisor

🎯 Requirements

• Valid provincial general insurance license, or willingness to obtain one • Ongoing licensing and continuing education requirements • Experience in commercial or personal lines insurance • Experience running your own business • Background in financial services, banking, B2B sales, account management, or business development • Experience in client-facing advisory or relationship-management roles • Ability to build trusted relationships and convert them into sustainable business growth • Strong sales and business-development mindset • Comfort prospecting, networking, and creating opportunity • Clear, confident communication, strong organization, and disciplined follow-through • Client-first, advice-based approach to helping businesses manage risk • Resilience, accountability, and self-motivation • Comprehensive background check • Background, credit, and eligibility checks to Co-operators’ satisfaction
