📋 Description

• Oversee the entry and review of transactions • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, material batches, analyses, and accounting projects • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams • Support the monthly close process and handle month-end responsibilities • Research and calculate journal entries for rebates, commissions, inventory, and revenue • Support inventory management and job-related tasks • Review inventory obsolescence • Analyze sales, costs, and margins • Facilitate job closure processes • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies • Uphold company policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley internal-control requirements • Report directly to the Director of Accounting • Perform minimal travel by car and/or plane as required

🎯 Requirements

• Background in Public Accounting • Experience with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act • Experience with the COSO internal control framework • Experience with general ledger functions • Experience with the month-end/year-end close process • Ability to focus on transaction processing with strong attention to detail • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required • Demonstrated expertise in accounting and financial analysis • 2–3 years of experience in accounting, specifically in subledger or general ledger accounting • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including SUMIF, lookup functions, and pivot tables • Ability to work from home • Reliable high-speed internet access; hotspot not acceptable • Dedicated distraction-free home work environment • Minimum 40 hours per week during the company’s regular business hours; evening and/or weekend work may be required • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable • Complete background check including drug screen contingent upon hire
