📋 Description

• Triage, investigate, and respond to security detections across endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud environments • Conduct tactical analysis of EDR telemetry, log sources, and forensic artifacts to determine root cause and scope of compromise • Develop targeted remediation recommendations • Investigate suspicious Microsoft 365 activity, including BEC and AITM attacks • Contain threats and deliver actionable guidance to customers • Perform basic malware analysis to support security incident investigations • Develop and improve incident detection processes and countermeasures • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during incident response activities • Produce clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings • Protect organizations against advanced attackers through CrowdStrike’s virtual security operations center

🎯 Requirements

• This position is open to candidates in PST and MST time zones • Experience in one or more of incident handling, threat landscape awareness, computer forensic analysis, malware analysis, operating system fundamentals, systems administration, network analysis fundamentals, identity platform awareness, email security awareness, third-party log analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, programming/scripting, or AI fundamentals • Hands-on incident response experience across a broad range of security events, including managing multiple simultaneous incidents across hosts and customer environments • Working knowledge of attack vectors, threat actor TTPs, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK • Experience using forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations • Basic static and dynamic malware analysis ability • Strong understanding of Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems, including Windows internals • Hands-on experience administering networks and resolving connectivity, authentication, and configuration issues • Working knowledge of network protocols and analysis tools • Experience with identity and access management platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory • Experience investigating Microsoft 365 security incidents, including BEC and AITM attacks • Working knowledge of enterprise log sources and SIEM investigation and triage • Basic understanding of containment and incident remediation actions • Working knowledge of secure network architecture and hands-on network troubleshooting • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting • Experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes • Ability to complete technical tasks without supervision • Must be willing to work a 4x10 schedule, including a day on the weekend • Only open to US citizens and Green Card holders • BA or BS / MA or MS degree in a specified or related field; applicants without a degree but with relevant work experience and/or training will be considered • Expected to maintain legal entitlement to work in Canada • Subject to background checks, including criminal record, credit, and/or reference checks
