📋 Description

• Lead back-end engineering teams creating exceptional member experiences • Identify, prioritize, and shape complex digital initiatives with business stakeholders • Guide delivery of digital services through web and native applications • Oversee migration of data and services from legacy infrastructure to the cloud • Integrate emerging AI and agentic technologies • Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to application development teams • Lead teams responsible for back-end service development, data migration, micro-services, and emerging AI technologies • Support, manage, and mentor engineering professionals • Influence strategic roadmaps for future initiatives • Collaborate with business partners to align engineering work with business objectives • Own the technical vision for product and platform capabilities • Guide architectural decisions across distributed systems • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams • Coach managers on effective leadership practices • Drive execution through goal-setting, accountability, and continuous improvement of team velocity and quality • Collaborate with product, design, architecture, and operations • Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud and AI technologies • Monitor team health, remove blockers, and resolve workflow impediments

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience, with a focus on enterprise-level solutions and cloud technologies • 3+ years of experience leading large cross-functional project management initiatives, including micro-services, event-driven architectures, and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka and Amazon Kinesis • 2+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum practices • Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience • Proven success managing and scaling engineering teams of 10+ members • Deep understanding of cloud architecture patterns—containerization (Kubernetes, ECS), serverless, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) • Proficiency in modern technology stacks and cloud design and architecture for one or more public cloud providers, preferably AWS • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills • Experience supporting products in agile environments, particularly in planning, design, engineering, and third-party validation efforts • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Slack, and GitHub
