📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop Software Engineers across SE I, SE II, and Senior levels • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career-development conversations • Own the full hiring lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding • Guide architectural decisions and participate in design reviews • Ensure delivery of production-grade Python automation solutions • Own team-level delivery commitments, remove blockers, manage priorities, and ensure projects ship on time • Perform regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Lead sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery practices • Establish and improve standards for code quality, testing, documentation, security, and CI/CD • Serve as the primary engineering contact for operations, clinical, and executive stakeholders • Translate business needs into engineering priorities and communicate progress • Ensure deliverables adhere to HIPAA, HITRUST, and healthcare data security requirements • Improve team workflows, development processes, and automation practices • Coordinate dependencies with engineering teams and business units • Represent the team in planning, roadmap, and prioritization discussions • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies such as Azure services, AI/ML capabilities, and RPA tooling

🎯 Requirements

• Strong background in Python software development • Clear understanding of automation, RCM workflows, and the healthcare technology landscape • Fluency with Git and collaborative development workflows (feature branches, code review, PR discipline) • Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team of software engineers at multiple seniority levels • Deep understanding of healthcare data privacy requirements, including HIPAA and HITRUST • Proven ability to balance people leadership with delivery accountability in a fast-paced, production-focused environment • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Exceptional communication skills; able to translate between engineering detail and business impact • 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in an engineering management or team-lead role • Track record of growing engineers' skills and careers, including building clear development paths and fostering a culture of continuous learning and feedback • Experience owning end-to-end delivery of complex automation or software projects, including scope management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder reporting • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred • Ability to engage credibly in technical discussions around Python automation, Selenium, OpenCV, AI/ML tooling, and Azure cloud services • Sufficient hands-on engineering background to earn the trust of senior engineers and make informed tradeoff decisions on architecture, tooling, and technical debt • Familiarity with EHR / billing systems, healthcare web portals, and revenue cycle management automation • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, App Services, and Azure DevOps • Familiarity with logging, alerting, and observability practices • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA • No Contractors, No C2C, No Visa Sponsorship • No recruiting agencies • Remote in USA only • Cannot consider candidates from New York, California, or Washington state • Availability Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST; flexible working hours may be required based on business
