📋 Description

• Design and build the Cluster management platform • Serve as the primary technical authority for authentication, authorization, and identity logic within the Software Defined Storage solution • Partner with senior leadership and domain experts to maintain and evolve core infrastructure • Collaborate with the security team to implement user access controls that meet compliance standards without compromising system performance • Provide expert code reviews and mentor mid-level engineers • Create detailed documentation for identity systems • Participate in the Scrum lifecycle from ideation and prototyping through testing and maintenance • Ensure high regression coverage for sensitive code paths • Contribute to the team on-call rotation and provide high-level support for the global distributed footprint

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of backend development experience • Deep proficiency in Go, C++, or Python within high-scale distributed systems • In-depth knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, and Multi-Tenancy models in containerized or orchestrated environments • Practical experience with TLS/mTLS, PKI management, certificate lifecycles, and OAuth2/OIDC • Working knowledge of Consul, etcd, or other key/value stores for service discovery and global cluster state • Proven results working with geographically distributed teams using asynchronous communication such as RFCs and design documents • Experience taking full responsibility for a mission-critical domain, including long-term health, documentation, and scalability • Proven success developing API servers, controllers, or management layers for storage or compute resources • Experience collaborating with experts to document tribal knowledge and create robust system architecture • Experience using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry • Ability to simplify complex user access challenges into developer-friendly CLI and API experiences • Strong communication skills and prioritization skills • Ability to participate in a team on-call rotation
